Kristen Stewart and Adam Driver have been named the 2016 “An Evening With…” honorees for the 54th New York Film Festival, the Film Society of Lincoln Center announced Tuesday.
The annual “An Evening With…” events recognize work of individuals who have made contributions to film. Driver will be recognized for his performance in Jim Jarmusch‘s “Paterson,” while Stewart will be recognized for her work in three New York Film Festival titles: Kelly Reichardt‘s “Certain Women,” Olivier Assayas‘ “Personal Shopper” and Ang Lee‘s “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk.”
The Special Events section will feature the world premiere of Lonny Price’s “Best Worst Thing That Ever Could Have Happened.” Alex Horwitz’s “Hamilton’s America” goes behind the Tony- and Pulitzer Prize-winning production of Lin-Manuel Miranda‘s “Hamilton” and will have its world premiere at the festival.

In previous years, Film Comment magazine selected films like Steve McQueen‘s “12 Years a Slave” and Laszlo Nemes’ “Son of Saul.” The magazine will also lead two special panels at the festival, including a roundtable discussion with filmmakers.
